Have you ever pulled your clothes out of the washer only to find tiny little while specks of undissolved detergent? Such a disappointment.

By far the most ECO & Budget Friendly: Powder Laundry Detergent
Did you know that Powder Laundry Detergent has the longest shelf life? Some Powdered Laundry Detergents can last for up to a year after opening. This means that you can feel safe buying that big bulk box and know that unlike Liquid Detergent, water is not a main ingredient so it is not there to evaporate. Its also that lack of water that makes Powder Detergents more Eco-Friendly. Powder detergents don’t require heavy plastic bottles and thick plastic lids.
Laundry Detergent Pods
The Newcomer to the Laundry Scene: Pods
Laundry pods have one fantastic advantage. They are perfect if you are traveling or camping; just pack in and toss in washer. Convenience is a huge factor these days, however Pods can be really expensive. They also are portioned so it is important to remember that a normal sized load of laundry (12 pounds) will use one Pod. You do not want to waste money by using more Pods than needed. I am also going to take this moment to stress that if you are using a Front Loading Washing Machine, please place the Pod in with the clothes before you start your cycle.
(Please remember that you are to never ever puncture a Pod to use as a Pre-Treat, this can be extremely dangerous!) Bottom line, all three types have their advantages and disadvantages. Just make sue that you are choosing a detergent that works well with your laundry needs and your budget.
